Car Used to Gain Entry Into Fremont Cannabis Business Overnight

Seattle Police recovered an unreported stolen vehicle used to ram the front of a Fremont cannabis business during an overnight burglary Wednesday.

Around 3:30 a.m., officers from the North Precinct responded to the 300 block of North 36th Street after a witness called 911 to report three males inside the store. The witness also saw a vehicle drive into the front of the business which allowed the suspects to gain entry.

Police arrived to find significant damage to the front of the business and an unoccupied black Kia sedan outside. No one was found inside the store. Officers then contacted the registered owner of the Kia who said their car was stolen overnight from their residence nearby.

Based on witness information and evidence at the scene, the suspects left northbound in another black sedan. The amount of merchandise taken and its value has not been determined at this time.
