#2023-087550/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 3-31-2023 at 2133 hours, officers responded to reports of shots fired followed by a vehicle collision into a pole in the 1900 block of SW Dakota St. Multiple callers reported hearing the shots and several vehicle descriptions were provided. Officers arrived and located the scene at the intersection. None of the involved vehicle(s) had remained on scene as witnesses reported that they had fled in different directions. An extensive area check found no physical victims of the shooting and no property damage.
#2023-087562/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2143 hours, officers responded to a call of a domestic / violation of a protection order. The victim called 911 after she was assaulted by the suspect who then armed himself with a gun and threatened to kill himself and the victim. The victim was able to flee the apartment. Patrol arrived, set up containment, formed a tactical team, secured the apartment, got a warrant, and checked the apartment but the suspect was gone. Portions of the apartment complex were searched with negative results.

At 2331 hours, officers responded to an assault call. They contacted and interviewed the victims. One victim believed he was the target of a hate crime. Suspect was taken into custody and booked into KCJ for hate crime, assault, and harassment.
