#2023-087668/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 4-1-2023 at 0048 hours, officers were dispatched to the report of shots heard. While conducting an area check, officers located evidence of a shooting. It appeared that the rounds may have been fired into Lake Washington. No victims were located.
#2023-087704/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0148 hours, officers responded to the area of Cal Anderson Park for reports of harassment and assault. The victims told officers they were victims of a hate crime. When one of the victims inquired what the problem was, the suspect became physically aggressive and pushed the victim causing pain. Victim #2 tried to get in between them and was grabbed by the suspect and verbally assaulted. The suspect and his group fled when the victims called 911.
#2023-088271/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1650 hours, an officer was conducting a courtesy transport of a witness to the grocery store. When the officer arrived at the store, he observed an intoxicated female in crisis screaming at store personnel. The officer confirmed with store personnel that the female had assaulted an employee. The officer contacted the suspect and attempted to place her under arrest. The suspect attempted to flee but was apprehended by the officer. A struggle ensued as the suspect tried to break away from the arresting officer. The suspect wrenched one of her arms away from the officer and clawed and punched him in the face, leaving several scratches on his cheek, eyelid, and neck. The suspect was transported to KCJ via AMR, where she was booked for felony assault.
#2023-088579/West Precinct/Third Watch
At 2334 hours, officers responded with Seattle Fire to a business in the 1400 block of S Lane St for a report of a fire outside of the entrance. The fire heavily damaged the wood facade of the entrance. It was determined the fire was intentionally set and the suspect was found sleeping at the scene. The suspect was booked into KCJ for arson.
