Friday evening Seattle Police Department detectives with the assistance of the Seattle Police SWAT team arrested a suspect involved in the Meadowbrook shooting.
The 19-year-old male suspect was booked into King County Jail for investigation of murder.
A shooting in a Meadowbrook neighborhood sent a man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries Wednesday night.
Just before 9 p.m., police responded to the 10700 block of 30th Avenue NE for reports of a shooting. Officers found the victim and secured the scene for Seattle Fire crews to render aid.
Witnesses told police the victim was shot when he tried to intervene during an argument involving the suspect who then fled the scene. A K-9 unit attempted to track the suspect but was unable to locate him.
The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition where he later died.
SPD Homicide detectives will be leading the investigation.
