Early Friday evening at about 7:00 p.m., officers located the suspect of the shooting that occurred Wednesday morning near James Street and Cherry Street.
The 27-year-old male suspect was taken into custody and booked for murder into King County Jail.
Police are investigating after a male was found with life-threatening injuries in the Downtown area early Wednesday morning.
Just after 2 a.m., officers arrived in the area of 3rd Avenue and Cherry Street for a report of a person with a traumatic injury. They located the victim and attempted lifesaving measures until the Seattle Fire Department arrived.
Despite all efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives and members of the Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to process the scene. Detectives will continue to lead the investigation.
