#2023-130350/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 5-13-2023 at 0521 hours, police contacted a victim who was assaulted while getting out of his vehicle. by three suspects. The victim’s cell phone and wallet were taken during the assault. Officers performed an area check but did not locate the suspects.
#2023-130577/South Precinct/First Watch:
At 1051 hours, patrol responded to a report of a hit and run collision where an SUV left the roadway, crashed through a fence, and stopped in a residential backyard. Police determined the SUV was struck by a suspect vehicle which had just left the scene of an assault at a nearby bus stop. SFD responded for a medical assessment. No injuries reported.
#2023-130826/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1500 hours, members of SPD CRG began monitoring a large crowd that had gathered at Alki Beach. Over 1,000 youth were in attendance and the event devolved into a number of disturbances, reckless driving incidents, and multiple reports of shots fired. Alki Beach was eventually closed and cleared.
#2023-130895/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1700 hours, officers responded to Green Lake for a possible drowning. A 14-year-old child had been submerged underwater for several minutes prior to being located by bystanders who then began CPR. SPD officers took over CPR until SFD arrived on scene. The child was transported to HMC in critical condition.
