Police investigated a shooting late Saturday morning after several witnesses heard shots fired near the intersection of Northeast 125th Street and Lake City Way Northeast.
Just after 11:00 a.m., officers arrived and found a man with several gunshot wounds.
Police provided life-saving measures until Seattle Fire arrived. Firefighters took over medical care and the 35-year-old male victim was later transported to Harborview Medical Center.
Officers gathered evidence at the scene but did not determine what events led to the shooting.
Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives will lead the ongoing investigation.
