#2023-159086/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 6-8-2023 at 1300 hours, officers were dispatched to a disturbance at an apartment complex. The victim told officers the suspect called him a racial slur and threw a glass jar at his head narrowly missing him. The suspect had also caused extensive property damage throughout the complex. After extended negotiations with the suspect, he was taken into custody and booked for felony assault, hate crime, and malicious mischief.
#2023-159547/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2030 hours, police contacted the victim and his parents after they were harassed and had items thrown at them by the suspect for no reason. The suspect also made bias comments toward the victims. Police were not able to locate the suspect.
#2023-159522/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2058 hours, officers responded to a shooting near the intersection of S Henderson Street/Renton Avenue S. Police located a victim with several gunshot wounds and provided first aid until SFD arrived. The victim was transported to HMC with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers recovered evidence from the scene and found multiple vehicles and buildings which were hit by gunfire.
#2023-159546/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2117 hours, SPD CRG officers located an occupied stolen vehicle and took the driver into custody. Officers recognized the suspect as being wanted for a previous incident involving a stolen vehicle and attempted assault on officers. The suspect was booked into King County Jail and officers impounded two vehicles, both of which were stolen.
