#2023-185961/Third Watch/South Precinct:
On 7-3-2023 at approximately 0123 hours, officers responded to road rage shooting in the 2400 block of Beacon Avenue S. The victim said he was driving northbound on 14th Avenue S when a vehicle driving southbound fired a shot at his vehicle, striking the fuel tank. Officers located evidence of a shooting at the the location provided by the victim. SFD responded for the fuel leak.
#2023-185974/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0158 hours, officers responded to a shooting in the 11200 block of 58th Av S. Officers talked to the victim who said the suspects opened fired on their residence striking the house and several vehicles. The evidence at the scene was processed by patrol.
#2023-186021/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 0408 hours, police responded to a robbery in the 400 block of Blanchard Avenue S. The victim parked his vehicle and was approached by two unknown suspects who attacked him with a bottle and knife before leaving on foot northbound through the alley. The victim was taken to HMC for his injuries in stable condition.
#2023-186031/First Watch/West Precinct:
At 0417 hours, a large tree fell and was blocking lanes of Aurora Avenue N at Comstock Street. A vehicle drove into/through some of the tree causing problems with the vehicle. The car travelled south and then took out a streetlamp pole before crashing into another tree. The driver went to HMC via private ambulance.
#2023-186240/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 0930 hours, officers contacted a subject in the 1500 block of 3rd Avenue as he was openly smoking narcotics. As police attempted to detain the subject, he began to run then tried to place an officer in a headlock. The subject was booked into KCJ for investigation of assault.
#2023-186472/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1308 hours, officers responded for reports of a man in the 2200 block of 4th Avenue grabbing and assaulting random people – particularly, women and children. Officers located and arrested the suspect who struggled, kicked at officers, and tried grabbing an officer’s gun. One officer sustained a minor injury. The suspect was booked into KCJ on multiple charges.
#2023-186783/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1818 hours, two Pike/Pine emphasis officers were waved down at Westlake Park regarding a stabbing. The victim was stabbed once in his abdomen by one of two suspects who fled the scene. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was transported to HMC.
#2023-187037/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2301 hours, patrol units responded to a call of a man reportedly shot near 1st Avenue S and S Cloverdale St. Officers located a male with a vehicle that had damage to the driver’s side windows and confirmed he was the caller and not injured. The suspect was not located despite an area check.
