#2023-189736/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 7-6-2023 at 0805 hours, officers responded to reports of an armed carjacking in the 7100 block of 18th Avenue SW. The victim was making a delivery when the suspect got into the driver’s seat of the vehicle, then brandished a gun when the victim tried to get him out. SPD SWAT and HNT were called after the suspect was seen running into a nearby residence. The suspect was not located inside.
#2023-111711/South Precinct/First Watch:
At 0930 hours, members of SPD’s Internet Crimes Against Children, with support from Washington State Department of Corrections and Homeland Security Investigations, arrested an adult male for uploading Child Sexual Abuse Material to the internet. Investigators also served a search warrant and seized the suspect’s digital devices. The subject was booked into KCJ for Delivery and Possession of Depictions of Minor Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct.
#2023-190597/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2359 hours, police responded to a burglary with shots fired in the 2900 block of S Holly Street. The victim arrived home to find three suspects leaving out the back door. When one of the suspects raised a gun towards the victim, the victim drew his own firearm and fired shot several shots. The victim was not injured.
