#2023-192834/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 7-9-2023, at 0122hrs, SW Patrol responded to an armed robbery in the 7300 block of Delridge Way SW. The suspect was originally reported fleeing on foot, but it was quickly discovered he fled in a vehicle prior to police arrival. Caller stated that an unknown male entered the store and brandished a handgun at her demanding money. The clerk emptied cash from registers into a bag. The suspect also grabbed cigarettes and then fled in a waiting SUV which left Northbound on Delridge Way SW.
#2023-192895/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0251hrs, officers attempted to stop a vehicle with an incorrect license plate and eluded them. A short time later, officers heading the opposite direction observed the vehicle driving towards them firing shots out of a window in an unknown direction. The vehicle was last seen entering I-5. Evidence of the shooting was located in the area. One parked occupied car was struck. No injuries reported at the time of the incident.
#2023-193457/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 1648hrs, the suspect selling trading cards set up to meet the victim using the internet at a business in the 8500 blk of Aurora Ave N. The suspect demanded a large sum of money for the trade that had not been agreed upon. The victim did not have the money. The suspect offered to trade for other illegal items. The victim did not oblige. The suspect pulled out a switchblade knife and demanded money from the victim. The suspect punched the victim in the face and walked off NB with a known female. Police arrived shortly after and stopped the suspect nearby, taking the suspect into custody without incident. The switchblade was recovered and placed into evidence. The suspect was booked into jail for investigation of robbery.
#2023-193684/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2125hrs, a vehicle was travelling south on Lake Washington Blvd S. At the same time, a motorcycle was travelling north on Lake Washington Blvd S. It appears the motorcycle crossed the centerline at Lakeside Av S where it intersects with Lake Washington Blvd. S and struck the vehicle. The motorcycle operator and his passenger were ejected. The male motorcycle operator and his adult male passenger suffered significant injuries. A DRE responded and evaluated both drivers. Both were found to be impaired and were subsequently processed for impairment.
