#2023-191854/North Precinct/Third Watch:

Officers contacted a victim who was parked in parking lot when he was approached by two suspects requesting jumper cables. One suspect produced handgun fired a shot into the ground and demanded victim’s vehicle. The victim fled the scene on foot as suspects fled in his vehicle. Area check for suspects were negative. The suspects left behind a Pierce County stolen vehicle.

2023-191824/North Precinct/Third Watch:

Patrol officers heard shots fired close to their location and observed vehicles fleeing the area. They broadcast the info and backing units responded. Patrol officers located and stopped 2 vehicles – one of which had several bullet holes in it. Patrol officers detained, identified, and interviewed several individuals who were possibly involved. Patrol officers impounded the vehicle that sustained damage from being shot – search warrant to be served. No victims located. Numerous shell casings were located and submitted into evidence by patrol officers.

#2023-192131/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On July 8th, 2023, at about 1052 hours multiple officers, along with K9-13 and K9-8, responded to a bank robbery in the 3100 block of Rainier Ave S. The suspect passed a bank teller a note and demanded money and fled on foot. K9 tracked the suspect to a nearby business and he was taken into custody.

#2023-191761/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

Patrol responded to a report of a shooting in the 1900 block of Harbor Ave SW. A scene was located, and officers recovered several shell casings. While processing the scene, a victim with a non-life threatening GSW to his hip arrived at a nearby hospital. Officers responded to the hospital to interview the victim.

#2023-191871/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

Patrol responded to a location outside of the city at the request of another agency who was out with a shooting victim. The victim was found in his vehicle in the 10800 block of E Marginal Way S. He claimed that he had been shot in Seattle and provided an address. The address was not valid, and no scene was located. The male victim was transported to a nearby hospital to treat his injuries.

#2023-191866/South Precinct/Third Watch:

Officers responded to the reports of multiple shots heard. Officers arrived on scene and found a large scene encompassing a couple blocks. A suspect was seen fleeing the scene to the east. A K9 track was conducted with negative results. Two vehicles were located with bullet damage. More shots were fired nearby while officers were on scene. A firearm was recovered from the scene.

#2023-191906/West Precinct/Third Watch:

Officers responded to reports of a shooting outside an after-hours event. Property damage, spent 9mm casings, and bullet fragments were located. Patrol photographed and recovered evidence.

#2023-191896/West Precinct/Third Watch:

Medical personnel were flagged down in the downtown area by a subject who had been stabbed and notified 911. Officers located a scene and security footage of the attack. The suspect was located in a bus tunnel and taken into custody for investigation of assault.

#2023-192335/East Precinct/First Watch:

Officers responded to an active disturbance near the intersection of 14 Av and E Union St. Officers arrived and determined that a suspect used homophobic slurs, threats, and threatening body language towards the victim just outside of a local bar. The suspect was arrested and booked into KCJ for Investigation of Malicious Harassment.
