Seattle police arrested a 41-year-old male suspect, and a 51-year-old male victim is in serious condition after a stabbing Friday morning in the Othello Link light rail station.
Around 10:15 a.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting a male stabbed on the light rail in the 7100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way South. When officers arrived, they located a male with multiple stab wounds.
Officers provided life-saving measures until Seattle Fire Department personnel arrived. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Police contacted the suspect on the light rail and took him into custody. A knife was recovered at the scene.
The exact circumstances that led up to the stabbing are unknown at this time.
The suspect will be booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.
