Last Wednesday, Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives working as Task Force Officers with the U.S. Marshals Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force located a suspect, who had an out of state warrant for murder.
Police around 11:30 a.m. took the man into custody in the 130 block of East Harvard Avenue. When the suspect was searched, officers found a loaded firearm in a coat pocket.
The male suspect was subsequently booked into King County Jail for his fugitive warrant.
The following day a Department of Corrections Specialist received information about a second firearm located within a company’s rental property. The suspect resided at this property when completing work in the area.
SPD retrieved the firearm and submitted it into evidence as well.
