#2023-220437/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 8-3-2023, at 00:37hrs, officers were dispatched to a report of an armed robbery that occurred approximately 10 minutes prior. Officers learned from the victim that, he was riding a scooter home when he was cut off by a white sedan, forcing him to stop. Two suspects exited the vehicle with one carrying handgun. The suspect forced the victim to give them everything from his pockets.
#2023-221186/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 03:26hrs, a business owner called 911 to report a male was using a torch to burn the security film off the window in the 2000 block of 2nd Ave. The male then attempted to force entry into the building through a locked door. Emphasis units responded and located the suspect in the 1500 block of 3rd Ave and detained him. A search of the suspect resulted in the recovery of narcotics, a firearm, and ammunition. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for unlawful possession of a firearm, violation of the uniform controlled substance act, burglary, and malicious mischief.
#2023-220809/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
At 09:54hrs, construction workers in the 700 block of South Concord Street had left the location on 8-2-2023 at approximately 16:00hrs. When they returned to the location at approximately 06:00hrs this morning, they saw their gate was moved. The workers found the suspect/suspects had used construction material to make a hate crime symbol. The workers notified staff at a nearby business. Photos were taken prior to police arrival and submitted into evidence.
#2023-221530/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 22:06hrs, officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 3200 block of NE 143 St. Upon arrival officers located a male with a gunshot wound. First aid was performed by officers and taken over by SFD medics upon their arrival. Victim stated to officers that he was sitting in his vehicle when three unknown males robbed him at gunpoint before being shot. The suspects then fled on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to HMC for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.
