SPD’s Robbery detectives identified a suspect involved in two bank robberies that occurred late July and early August.
Tuesday evening, detectives conducted surveillance in the area of these bank robberies and saw the suspect in the Beacon Hill neighborhood.
Around 6:00p.m., South Precinct patrol officers assisting with canvassing the area for the bank robber received the information about the location of the suspect. Police responded to a business in the 3000 block of Beacon Avenue South where officers contacted the suspect and took him into custody.
The 26-year-old male suspect was later booked into King County Jail for robbery.
