Police Recover Stolen Vehicle and Stolen Firearm in Chinatown International District

Yesterday, officers working the Chinatown International District Emphasis located an occupied stolen vehicle in the parking lot of a business in the neighborhood. 

Around 4:30p.m., police contacted the three subjects in the stolen vehicle in the 1400 block of South Lane Street. With further investigation, one of the occupants was discovered to have an outstanding felony warrant. The other two subjects were identified and released at the scene. 

During the search of the suspect, a stolen firearm was located on his person. Police confirmed with the registered owner of the firearm it was indeed stolen since June 2020. 

The 36-year-old male suspect was booked into King County Jail for his outstanding warrant, unlawful possession of a firearm, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
