#2023-229609/East Precinct/First Watch:

On 8-11-2023, at 06:50hrs, East Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of a man shot near the intersection of 17th Avenue South and South Jackson Street. Upon arrival officers located the victim with a gunshot wound. Seattle Fire Department provided medical aid on scene and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center.

#2023-229620/West Precinct/First Watch:

At 07:03hrs, construction workers were pumping a concrete floor approximately 30 feet above the ground when the floor collapsed. One worker fell approximately 30 feet and another worker was able to grab onto something preventing his fall to the ground. The worker who fell was able to walk away from the scene. SFD arrived and evaluated both workers for non-life-threatening injuries.

#2023-230374/East Precinct/Third Watch:

At 20:58hrs, East Precinct Patrol officers responded to a report of shots heard in the 1300 block of 30th Avenue South. A witness stated they had observed two separate KIA sedans park next to each other in the 2900 block of South Irving Street prior to the shooting incident. Occupants of the vehicles exited and began throwing property out of a vehicle. At this time a motorist passed by the area that the suspects fired at. The suspects left the area in one vehicle. The victim was not injured and his vehicle did not sustain ballistic damage. Police located evidence of a shooting at the scene. The suspects were not located.

#2023-230417/East Precinct/Third Watch:

At 21:40hrs, officers were on routine patrol when they were almost struck by a suspected DUI driver. Officers initiated a stop and developed probable cause for DUI. The suspect exited the vehicle and was placed into custody. Police observed a firearm and narcotics within the vehicle. Officers applied and executed a search warrant on the vehicle, locating approximately 400 Xanax pills, a firearm, and $200 in cash. The suspect once cleared medically will be booked for DUI, VUCSA, VUFA, and child endangerment into King County Jail.
