#2023-233060/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 08/14/23 at approximately 1213 hours officers were dispatched to a stabbing at 3 Av/Pike St. The victim stated he was walking northbound in the alley to the west of the location. Victim stated he bumped into the suspect, at which point the suspect stabbed him. SFD Medic 10 transported the victim to HMC where he is in stable condition. Officers searched the area for the suspect, with negative results. CVTF was notified of this incident.
#2023-232730/South Precinct/First Watch:
At approximately 0630 hours, South Pct. officers were dispatched to a home invasion robbery. The male and female victim were asleep inside of their residences when they heard someone attempting to force entry to their front door. A short time later the front window of their home was broken, and five masked suspects armed with handguns entered. The suspects took multiple items from inside the home and were last seen leaving the scene in a gold sedan and a silver sedan. Robbery detectives responded to the scene.
#2023-232853/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 08/14/2023 at 2230 hours, King Sector units responded reference an assault call. Upon investigation, it was learned the incident occurred the night prior and the victim, a Caucasian female, had been in a verbal altercation with a neighbor, who was an African-American female. During the verbal altercation, the neighbor made several specific bias remarks reference the victim’s race and gender identity. The neighbor then assaulted the victim. Suspect was identified and contact was attempted but not made at this time.
#2023-233338/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1654 hours, officers responded to assist SFD with a fire that occurred in an encampment located near Minor Ave N / Mercer St. The encampment was in a vacant lot near an apartment building. SFD put the fire out before it could damage the apartment building. No one was in the encampment during the fire and the only losses were tent structures and personal property inside the encampment and plant life. Witnesses described a suspect who may have started the fire. Officers located that suspect in the area. The suspect provided information indicating that he lived in the encampment and accidentally started the fire. The suspect was taken into custody for Reckless Burning 1st degree.
