#2023-233846/East Precinct/First Watch:
At 0443 hours, a subject walked into HMC with multiple GSW’s. Subject said that it occurred near 12th and “the castle”. Officers scoured the area but could not locate a scene and the subject would not speak to officers. Subject is stable. Officers collected the evidence for processing, and this was screened with 241, Homicide, and GVRU.
#2023-233846/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 0454 hours, a caller reported hearing 6-7 gunshots. Officers arrived and located FCC’s and property damage. It appears the suspect targeted a specific apartment as the exterior was hit at least six times near the bedroom where three teenagers were sleeping. Scene was processed by Patrol. The suspect(s) remain at-large. There is no vehicle description.
#2023-234023/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 0845 hours, officers responded to 1400 S Lane St in regards to a male subject swinging a knife at employees. The subject was located in an encampment nearby. The subject still had the knife in hand and refused to drop the knife. A brief standoff occurred and the subject placed the knife in his shoe and began approaching officers. The subject kicked two officers and was taken to the ground. The subject was taken into custody. SFD responded and evaluated the subject and two officers were evaluated at Swedish for minor scrapes and abrasions, all officers are ok. The subject was booked into KCJ for Assault 3.
#2023-234298/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On Tuesday August 15, 2023 at 1433 hours a Toyota was travelling westbound on N 76th Street and initiated a left, southbound turn onto Greenwood Av N. The Toyota hit a pedestrian who was crossing Greenwood Av N in the unmarked crosswalk at the intersection. The pedestrian, a 72-year-old female was transported to HMC via medic unit with life threatening injuries. The driver, a 31-year-old male was evaluated by a DRE. The driver exhibited signs of impairment and was subsequently placed under arrest. It was expected the driver would be booked into KCJ for Inv. of Vehicular Assault.
