#2023-2335863/North Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2217 hours, officers were traveling south on Aurora Av N when they heard several shots being fired/ observed people fleeing from a vigil being held at N 103 St/ Aurora Av N for the victim of a homicide the night before. No victims were located. Several shell casings were found at the scene. They were photographed and recovered. Officers then cleared the scene but stayed in the area to deter further shootings.

#2023-235990/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2315 hours, officers responded to a report of a collision in the 2600 block of 42 AVE SW. Upon arrival, the victim vehicle was found severely damaged in the roadway. Victims/occupants came out of hiding and reported that they had been chased by three vehicles occupied by approx. six suspects and that one vehicle, a KIA, rammed them before occupants of the other vehicles exited and further damaged the wrecked victim car. These suspects took personal items from the victim vehicle and suspects all fled. The KIA was located a short while later on Beacon Hill and verified stolen.

#2023-235077/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 8-16-23 at around 0740 hours, 1st Watch South Officers conducted a successful high risk stop on an occupied stolen vehicle that had been eluding and evading officers for the previous several hours within multiple precincts. Officers safely arrested both occupants, and verified the driver had multiple violent felony warrants and was the suspect of an ongoing Robbery 1 investigation. Both subjects were arrested and booked into YSC.

#2023-234626/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1628 hours, a group of 20 protestors showed up at the Space Needle to protest the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). The group’s leader was contacted, and a rapport was established. The leader advised her group’s intention was to give speeches before they dispersed. Approximately 10 minutes later, the protestors encroached on the Space Needle’s property. The group leader was notified of the private property owner’s wishes. The group removed themselves from the property. Shortly after, the group dispersed from the area. The Diplomatic Security Service members were present due to VVIP members at the event.

#2023-235257/South Precinct/Second Watch:

At approximately 1040 hours, South Pct officers were dispatched to a home invasion robbery. Two female victims were located inside the home when seven masked suspects armed with firearms forced entry into the front door. The suspects searched the interior of the home and took multiple high value items. Approximately an hour later, a second home invasion robbery occurred in the South Pct involving the same suspects. Robbery detectives were contacted and responded to both scenes.
