#2023-243211/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 8-23-2023, at 13:00hrs, in the Greenwood neighborhood a worker on break found their vehicle door lock damaged and an unknown white male sitting in the driver’s seat of their vehicle. The victim confronted the suspect but did not see the suspect’s accomplice who sprayed the victim in the face with pepper spray. Both suspects then fled the scene in a silver or grey 2000’s era GMC. The suspects were not located at the time of the incident.
#2023-243328/South Precinct/Second Watch:
At 14:50hrs, the suspects forced entry into a residence via a side door. They encountered two elderly victims inside the house. The victims were held at gunpoint while the suspect ransacked the house and stole items from the home. No one reported injuries at the time of the incident. The suspects were not located.
#2023-243654/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 20:18hrs, Community Response Group officers conducted a traffic stop near North 143rd Street and Aurora Avenue North. The driver of the vehicle attempted to hide a firearm under his seat as officers approached the vehicle. The driver, a convicted felon, was arrested for UPFA. The passenger in the vehicle had an outstanding felony warrant. Both subjects were booked one into King County Jail and the other into Snohomish County. The vehicle was impounded pending a search warrant.
#2023-243749/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 22:35hrs, a female called 911 and stated a known male had driven away with her 1-year-old son without her permission. South Patrol officers checked numerous locations for the suspect, ultimately locating him and the child at a West Seattle location. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for kidnapping. The child was returned unharmed to his mother.
