#2023-249095/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0159 hours, SW Patrol heard numerous gunshots being fired near the 6900 block 34 Av Sw. Witnesses observed a black older sedan fleeing the area. A scene was located inside of Walt Hundley Playfield where twenty-two 9mm FCC’s and six .556 FCC’s were recovered. An extensive area check did not locate victims/property damage in the park or surrounding residences. GVRU was notified.

#2023-249453/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 1111 hours, officers responded to an encampment off of Lake City Way Ne with the Seattle Parks Department and City Contractors. On scene there were approximately 12 activists attempting to disrupt the Parks Department. The site was eventually cleared without incident.

#2023-249538/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1223 hours, officers responded to a disturbance call where it was discovered that the suspect repeatedly punched a victim while using specific racially-derogatory language. Investigation determined this was a completed hate crime. While taken into custody, the suspect assaulted two officers, one sustaining minor cuts.

#2023-250114/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2246 hours, a caller stated they heard one shot in the area of 1 Av / Bell St. and observed people running from the area. Patrol canvased the area. One casing recovered. No victims or property damage found or reported.

#2023-250147/South Precinct/Third Watch:

Shortly before midnight, officers contacted a victim in the 4900 block of S. Roxbury Street who was driving home and turned into her neighborhood. She was rear-ended by the unknown suspect vehicle. Victim got out to check the damage since they were just involved in a collision and two unknown suspects with guns emerged from the suspect vehicle. One suspect jumped in the victim’s vehicle and tried to drive off with the victim holding on to the outside of the driver’s door. While the victim was being dragged about a block or so, the suspect driving the victim’s vehicle fired shots at the victim holding on. The victim was eventually knocked off the vehicle and the suspects last seen driving EB on S Roxbury St. Victim had minor injuries from being dragged. Officers located two shell casings that were photographed and collected for evidence. No suspects have been arrested at this time. Detectives will be leading this investigation.

#2023-250129/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2315 hours, the victim was standing at a bus stop near 7 AV S / S Jackson ST when he observed two males enter his parked vehicle. As the males drove away, the victim grabbed onto the open driver’s side window and was dragged onto S. Jackson ST where he fell off and his arm was run over by a motorist driving the opposite direction. The victim was treated on scene by SFD for minor injuries. Patrol located the unoccupied stolen vehicle in the 1600 BLK of 4 AV.
