#2023-250196/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0101 hours, a victim was hanging in the stairwell of the apartment building in the 3600 block of 34 Av S with an acquaintance. The suspect petitioned the victim for sexual favors and the victim declined. The suspect then struck the victim in the head with his fist causing a laceration over her eye. The suspect then stole the victim’s purse and phone and left. Victim was transported to hospital for the laceration over her eye. Incident was screened with Robbery Unit.
#2023-250242/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0243 hours, On 8/30/23, a female victim called 911 to report she was shot by an unknown suspect while driving. Upon arrival, officers located the victim inside a parking garage at 1641 Bellevue Ave. The victim sustained two GSWs to her lower extremities. The victim stated the incident occurred in the area of Lakeview Blvd E and Belmont Ave E. The victim described an unknown SUV and unknown suspects firing rounds from the vehicle. Officers performed an area check and located a black BMW crashed and unoccupied in the parking lot of the Melrose Connector Trail located at Melrose Trail & Belmont Ave E. Located inside the vehicle was a pistol magazine. GVRU was notified and responded to the scene.
#2023-250210/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 8/30/2023 at 0131 hours, calls received reporting shots fired near 11 Ave/E Pike St. Officers located two scenes. Security at one scene reported that two underaged males attempted to enter the bar with fake IDs. The two males were turned away. One of the males walked to the intersection of 11 Ave/E Pike St and fired a handgun ~14 times towards the bar (~14 FCC recovered). One bullet was recovered from the building. Several other rounds struck a nearby parked vehicle. A security guard from an nearby business was grazed by a bullet. The bullet caused a burn to his thigh. The suspects were reported to have fled the scene in a black sedan.
#2023-251270/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2308 hours officers heard a single gunshot in the area of 8 Av S / S Weller St. The only subject in the area fled upon attempting contact. A backpack was recovered containing 49.8 grams of narcotics. Hours later while conducting an area check for evidence of the shot fired, an officer recognized the subject that had fled and attempted contact. The suspect was taken into custody and a firearm was recovered. 243, East and West Patrol responded.
