2023-252365/South Precinct/Third Watch:
Officers responded to a carjacking incident. The two occupants of the stolen vehicle reported that it was forcibly taken by four suspects who were armed with handguns. There were no injuries reported.
2023-252409/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 09-01-2023 at 0154hrs, officers responded to Harborview Medical Center to a report of a gunshot victim arriving to the ER area by personnel vehicle. Witness/victim was able to relay to officers that they were driving in the area of 85th and Aurora when the victim driver switched lanes inadvertently cutting off the suspect driver who then in a fit of anger pulled along side victim vehicle and fired off multiple gunshots striking victim multiple times. suspect then drove off last scene merging on I-5. Victim drove himself to HMC where he was treated for his injuries. GVRU detectives responded to incident.
2023-252520/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 0651 hours, the suspect, who was in crisis and holding knives in both hands, stabbed the victim’s door several times with a large knife. The victim opened the door (thinking it was a knocking) and the suspect moved in on the victim attempting to stab the victim and threatening to kill him. The victim defended himself and the suspect retreated to her apartment. SWAT took the suspect into custody. The suspect will be booked into KCJ.
2023-253156/South Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1855 hours in the evening of 9/1/2023 multiple callers stated there was a shooting near the 8300 Block of Grattan PL S. Upon arrival 19 spent shell casings were located throughout the street to include 9mm, and .40 Cal. Neighbors and video in the area show two vehicles shooting at each other in the street. Both vehicles fled and no injuries were reported. 3 parked vehicles were hit with rounds.
2023-253397/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At approximately 2259 hours on 09-01-2023, East Precinct Patrol officers responded to the 1400 block of Boren AV in order to investigate a reported shooting. Officers located a victim and provided first aid until SFD arrived. Victim was transported to HMC. Officers collected evidence and GVRU responded to lead the investigation.
