#2023-267494/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 0601 hours, four suspects used a stolen vehicle to smash through the front glass doors of a local smoke shop causing significant property damage. The shop had an interior metal gate that stayed mostly intact, limiting the suspects to a small amount of vape product. Suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.

#2023-267484/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 0535 hours, four suspects used a stolen vehicle to intentionally drive into a retail alcohol business breaking through the plywood. The suspects entered the store and stole multiple bottles of liquor and soon after left the scene in the vehicle.

#2023-267705/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1043 hours, SFD responded to and requested SPD for a fire in a Tiny House Village. The fire was contained to one unit. The resident sustained burns to his body. Fire is of unknown origin and no malicious activity is suspected. SFD Marshall arrived on scene for investigation.

#2023-267690/South Precinct/First Watch:

At 1022 hours, multiple witnesses reported seeing a student at the school with a handgun. The witnesses identified the suspect. Officers arrived to assist the school employees, and the suspect was located and arrested. The firearm was not recovered at the scene. The suspect’s mother was contacted and stated she would look for the gun and if located she would contact SPD. The suspect was booked into CCFJC.

#2023-268014/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1559 hours, a stolen vehicle with four suspects involved in a vehicle collision. After the second collision, the vehicle was disabled, and suspects ran from the scene.

#2023-268479/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2350 hours, officers responded to the 2800 block of South Hanford Street for a robbery and contacted the victim. The victim stated that four suspects approached her at her apartment. An altercation occurred between all parties. The four suspects then assaulted the victim and took her shoes. The suspects then fled to what the victim described as a stolen KIA. SFD responded and rendered aid to the victim and detectives were notified.

#2023-268371/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2155 hours, officers were investigating an armed carjacking in the 4800 block of Rainier Avenue South. Officers on-viewed a drive-by shooting. The two vehicles continued northbound on Rainier Avenue South. One of the two vehicles was contacted and claimed to have been the victim of the shooting. The victim was not injured, and his vehicle was not damaged. The victim was uncooperative and left the area.

#2023-268355/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2127 hours, the victim was parked near Rainier Avenue South and South Rose Street. The suspect approached him from behind and tapped on his window. The suspect produced a pistol and ordered the victim out of his vehicle. The suspect took the vehicle and left the scene. The victim later located his vehicle in the 3900 block of South Othello Street and did not want police assistance.
