Fatal Collision in Georgetown

Police responded to a report of a fatal collision near the intersection of 1st Avenue South and South Lucille Street.

Around 5:30 am police arrived and found Seattle Fire Department on the scene providing medical aid to the pedestrian injured from the collision.

After medical care was attempted, SFD pronounced the female victim deceased at the scene.

The 64-year-old male driver was heading southbound on 1st Avenue South when he struck the female victim.

TCIS detectives arrived to investigate the incident and will be determining what caused the collision.

A Drug Recognition Expert officer responded to assist with evaluating the driver and found signs of impairment.

The male driver was arrested for vehicular homicide and will be booked into King County Jail after medically cleared from Harborview Medical Center.
