#2023-279845/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0306hrs, in the 500 block of Boylston Avenue East a victim reported that he accidentally fired his gun and shot himself. Officers responded and met the victim outside. The victim stated he was in his apartment trying to holster his handgun and it went off, striking him. Officers checked the apartment to ensure there were no other victims and the firearm was recovered. SFD responded, provided aid, and transported the victim to HMC.
#2023-280171/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
At 1105hrs, officers responded to a store located in the 4700 block of 44th Avenue Southwest. Employees witnessed one of two suspects walk into the store and grab a shopping cart. The suspect filled the cart with several items and an attempted to leave without paying. An employee tried to stop the suspect while he was leaving. The suspect went to the awaiting vehicle occupied by the second suspect. The employees attempted to stop the vehicle and they were almost struck. Officers conducted an area search but didn’t locate the suspects or vehicle.
#2023-280493/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1608hrs, officers responded to 2nd Avenue and Blanchard Street to a report of a male victim who was stabbed. Officers arrived on scene and located the stabbing victim. Officers applied a tourniquet and rendered aid until Seattle Fire Department arrived. The victim was transported to Harbor View Medical Center with minor injuries. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
