Two Males Stabbed in Downtown

Early this morning, a Metro bus driver working in Downtown reported there was a man lying in the street near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Pine Street.

Police arrived around 3:00 a.m. and found a 29-year-old male victim with a non-life-threatening stab wound. Officers provided medical aid until Seattle Fire arrived on scene. While already on scene, police received information about a second stab victim near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Stewart Street.

After receiving care from both police and SFD, the second male victim, possibly 48-years-old, was reported to be in critical condition.

Both victims were transported to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment.

Officers searched for potential witnesses and evidence to assist with the investigation. Police recovered a knife near the area where the stabbing occurred, however it’s unknown if it’s the weapon used in the physical altercation.

It was reported a disturbance between two subjects took place prior to the assault. This is all preliminary information due to the active ongoing investigation.
