#2023-294415/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0138 hours, Officers responded to an assist SFD call for a suspect who refused to leave a business located at the 9400 BLK of Delridge Wy SW. SFD responded because the subject was in a wheelchair and requesting medical assistance. While officers were investigating the incident, the suspect spit in a firefighter’s face. The suspect was placed in custody for assault 3 and transported to KCJ.
#2023-295471/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0248 hours, Complainants called 911 to report that there were males wearing masks using hammers and crowbars to break into an ATM. The incident occurred in a parking Lot located at the 4200 BLK of SW Morgan St. Officers arrived and saw two males using a jaws for life device inside an ATM machine. The suspects saw officers and entered a Blue Hyundai with no plates. The suspects fled the scene at a high rate of speed. The jaws for life is the property of an outside agency. The jaws for life was recovered. The ATM had severe damage. The bank was notified. GIU was notified about the incident
#2023-295417/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0012 hours, East Precinct patrol responded to the 1800 block of S Jackson St for a victim reporting three suspects assaulted him and subsequently took his wallet and vehicle. The suspects were seen leaving in the victim’s vehicle. The suspects were described as black males, teens to 20s, wearing hoodies and masks. One suspect was armed with an unknown firearm that the victim described as larger than a handgun. One of the suspects was seated in a white SUV with an unknown plate. Officers located the victim’s cellphone in a pair of bushes outside of the garage. Officers were unable to locate the suspects after an extensive area check. No additional info at this time.
#2023-295652/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 0859 hours a vehicle driven by a licensed juvenile was traveling southbound when a vehicle traveling Westbound disregarded a stop sign and struck the juvenile’s vehicle, causing it to clip another vehicle’s bumper before crashing into the brick porch of an occupied home. SFD responded, and there were no injuries reported.
#2023-296092/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1645 hours the victim was walking EB on NE 113th St from Lake City Wy when two vehicles approached from behind and boxed in the victim. The two vehicles were described as a white and a grey vehicle. When the vehicles arrived, the victim believes that one of the vehicles struck them with an opening door, which knocked the victim down. One suspect described as a BM 17-18 years-old wearing all black, exited the vehicle and pointed a handgun at the victim demanding his belongings. The victim then turned over his backpack and ran from the suspects. The second suspect, described as a BM 17-18 years-old wearing a white t-shirt and possibly armed with brass knuckles, ran after the victim, punched him, and then stole the victim’s shoes. the victim did not recognize any of the suspects and also believes there were additional occupants in the suspect vehicles. An area check for the suspects was not successful.
#2023-296392/South Precinct/Third Watch:
Officers responded to a shots fired call near the 9400 block of Rainier Av S. Officers located 2 fired shell casings and 1 live round. It is unknown who fired the shots. No property damage or victims were located. Officers photographed and collected the shell casing and live round for evidence. GVRU was notified.
#2023-296306/West Precinct/Third Watch:
Officers were dispatched to a gas station in the 600 block of Denny WY for a fight with weapons involved. Witnesses identified one of the involved parties was still on-scene and may be armed with a handgun. Officers contacted the subject and detained him while they conducted an investigation. A warrant was located for the subject and verified. While placing the subject into a police vehicle, he became uncooperative and assaultive, kicking and striking an officer. The subject was subsequently arrested for Assault in the 3rd degree and transported to KCJ. PIO’s and 213 notified.
