Seattle Police Department Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives are investigating a shooting that left a male critically injured Sunday evening in Rainier Valley.
Shortly before 9:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of a male shot near the intersection of 36th Avenue South and South Genesee Street. Police arrived and located a male with multiple gunshot wounds.
Seattle Fire Department personnel arrived and transported the 39-year-old victim to HMC in critical condition.
No suspects have been identified at this time, and the circumstances that led up to the shooting are unknown.
