Detectives are investigating after four adults were shot, three of the four were injured and one was killed in Ballard at two related scenes.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m., dispatch received a call that in the 8400 block of Seaview Place Northwest (Golden Gardens Park) about a shooting. Police arrived and found two adults with gunshot wounds. Officers provided aid until the Seattle Fire Department arrived. Despite life-saving efforts, one of the adults was pronounced dead at the scene. The other adult was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Shortly after the first shooting call, dispatch received a call that two adults were injured in a vehicle at 26th Avenue Northwest and Northwest Market Street. Police arrived and found two adults suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided aid until the Seattle Fire Department arrived. Both adults were transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
It is not known what led up to the shooting and it is believed that both scenes are related. Homicide Unit detectives are actively investigating the incident.
