Seattle Police received a 911 call about an assault in the 5500 block of University Way Northeast early Thursday morning.
Officers arrived at approximately 1:30 a.m. and contacted a 52-year-old male subject that told officers that the male victim in his late 50’s was his roommate. The subject showed the police the residence where the male victim was located. The victim was found in the residence with severe injuries.
Officer provided aid to the victim until Seattle Fire Department arrived. SFD notified SPD the man had succumbed to his injuries at the location.
The circumstances leading up to the fatality of the 52-year-old have not yet been determined.
Our Crime Scene Investigation Unit collected evidence and Homicide will be investigating this incident.
The male subject is being questioned by Homicide Unit detectives.
