On Thursday, November 2nd, a man riding by on a bicycle was arrested after trying to stab another man in the face.
Police arrived near the intersection of Dexter Avenue North and Highland Drive around 2:00 p.m. and contacted the victim. The 28-year-old male victim reported he was sitting in a chair in front a restaurant when the suspect rode by on a bicycle yelling an expletive as he attempted to stab the victim.
The victim leaned back just in time and did not sustain an injury from the altercation. A witness of the incident and the victim both provided a detailed suspect description. The male suspect was last seen riding away northbound on Dexter Avenue North.
Officers conducted a search for the suspect and found him a mile north of Dexter Avenue North. He was positively identified by the victim as the man who tried to stab him.
A paring knife and a bicycle were collected for submission as evidence.
The 38-year-old male suspect was arrested for assault and booked into King County Jail.
