#2023-320166/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-05-2023, at 02:31hrs, a white sedan was travelling northbound in the 1700 block 4th Avenue South. At the same time, an adult male pedestrian was crossing mid-block when the male pedestrian was struck. SFD responded and treated the male pedestrian. He was transported to HMC via Medic with life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle was evaluated and showed signs of impairment. He was arrested for DUI and a blood warrant was obtained.

#2023-320248/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

At 06:24hrs, officers responded to a commercial alarm at a business. Officers found that the front entrance had extensive damage from being rammed by a vehicle. The business checked clear of suspects. Security footage showed a full-sized pick-up ramming into the front of the business and removing security fencing. Two suspects exited the vehicle and entered the business. They filled the bed of the truck with several cases of power tools. The vehicle then fled in an unknown direction.

#2023-320249/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 06:31hrs, officers responded to an unoccupied vehicle blocking a residential intersection. The black truck was inoperable and stranded in the intersection. The vehicle appeared to have sustained ballistic damage. There was also ignition damage and large toolboxes in the rear truck bed. Possibly related to 2023-320248 but has not yet been determined.

#2023-320312/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 08:03hrs, SPD, SFD, FBI, and ABS responded to the location after a suspicious package was discovered. SFD hazmat and ABS rendered the package safe, after which the FBI recovered it as evidence.

#2023-320653/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 16:00hrs, officers responded to an assault that occurred near the intersection of 2nd Avenue North and Mercer Street. Officers contacted the victim and were informed the suspect was inside a tent. The suspect refused to respond to the officers’ commands. HNT responded to the scene for the barricaded suspect. A search warrant was obtained, and the suspect was taken into custody. The suspect was arrested for assault and booked into King County Jail.

#2023-320768/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

At 18:08hrs, police responded to a report of a robbery. A victim set her purse inside her open trunk. A dark sedan pulled up and a suspect exited the rear seat. The suspect grabbed the purse and handed it to a front seat passenger before re-entering the suspect vehicle. The victim attempted to retrieve her purse but the suspect vehicle fled the scene dragging her a short distance. The victim fell and subsequently let go of her purse. An area check was negative. The victim suffered minor injuries.

#2023-320970/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

At 22:51hrs, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 4200 block of Southwest Morgan Street. At about the same time, a report of a robbery also came in for the same area. It was reported to police that a group of seven juveniles had shoplifted from a business in the area and then escaped in two vehicles, nearly hitting an employee as they fled. The suspect juveniles threatened to come back and “smoke” the employees who had confronted them during the shoplift. Upon further investigation, police found probable cause to arrest an employee for discharging a firearm and reckless endangerment. Police did not locate the shoplift suspects or the suspect vehicles involved in the incident.
