On 11-8-23 at 1300 hours, there was a planned demonstration at 915 2 Ave, Federal Building. The demonstration consisted of approximately 60 people who conducted performance art to bring awareness to hostages related to events in Israel. The demonstration ended by 1400 hours. No arrests were made, and no counter protests occurred.
#2023-323783/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1616 hours Mall security reported an attempted kidnapping. The suspect reportedly tried to grab a juvenile, getting hold of the juvenile’s backpack, which the juvenile wriggled free of and escaped to report the incident. Other parties reported odd behavior by the suspect prior to the incident. Post Miranda the suspect’s explanation of events did not seem to make sense. Officers took the suspect info custody without incident and he was booked into KCJ for Investigation Of Kidnap (Attempt).
