#2023-349320/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0005 hours, Police responded to a robbery at that occurred on Rainier Avenue South near South Henderson Street. Two community members were walking, and a white sedan (possibly a Kia) stopped next to them, and four suspects exited the vehicle, two of the suspects were armed with firearms and proceeded to rob the victims at gunpoint. Officers conducted an extensive area search, but the vehicle was not located. Once the victims arrived home, they were able to track their iPhone to the 10000 blk of Rainier AV S. Officers located the iPhone discarded in the roadway at the location provided. The Robbery Unit was notified.

#2023-350167/East Precinct/Third Watch:

At 1938 hours, Officers responded to a disturbance with a woman heard screaming for assistance. As Police were enroute, the call was updated to reports of a gunshot in addition to the woman screaming. When Officers arrived, they quickly located the victims and determined that while no one had been shot, a firearm had been discharged. Police learned that the shooting stemmed from an argument over a parking space. At some point during the argument, the suspect produced a firearm and pistol whipped the female victim, causing the male victim to physically confront the suspect. During the struggle, the firearm was discharged, penetrating the victim’s jacket, narrowly missing the victim. The suspect dropped the firearm during the struggle. The suspect then fled the scene with the victims in tow. The Victims were able to take a photo of the suspect prior to losing sight of him. The victims provided this evidence to Officers on scene. Additionally, Officers took the firearm and a spent casing into evidence.
