Police are investigating after a man was stabbed multiple times late Thursday night in Rainier Valley neighborhood.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m., Officers responded to a report of a male stabbed in the 8300 block of Wabash Avenue South. Police arrived and located a 25-year-old male with multiple stab wounds. Officers provided life-saving measures until Seattle Fire Department personnel arrived.
The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
A witness reported that she was sitting at the bus stop with the victim when the male suspect approached. The suspect asked a question then produced a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene on foot.
Officers searched the area for the suspect with the assistance of Guardian One (KCSO air support helicopter), but he was not located.
Homicide detectives will be leading the investigation of this case.
