Male in Critical Condition After Shooting in the CID

Seattle Police Department Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives are investigating a shooting that left a male critically injured Monday evening in the Chinatown-International District.

Shortly before 5:00 p.m., 911 received reports of male shot in the 1200 block of South King Street. Officers arrived and located a male with a gunshot wound. The 44-year-old victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical, but stable condition.

Police processed the scene for evidence and are working to determine the exact circumstances leading up to the shooting. No suspects have been identified. Gun Violence Reduction Unit Detectives responded to the scene and will be leading the investigation.
