#2023-367685/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 12-23-2023, at 09:06hrs, the incident occurred at a business in the 1500 block of 8th Avenue. The victim, who is an employee, was washing a vehicle on the 7th floor garage. When he was done, he moved the vehicle to a parking spot and then suddenly, the suspect appeared pointing a handgun at the victim. The victim gave the keys of the vehicle to the suspect. The suspect drove off in the vehicle. No injuries reported at the time of the incident. The vehicle was described as a gray SUV.
#2023-367943/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 14:13hrs, officers responded to a robbery at gun point. Officers arrived and contacted the victim. The victim advised officers that two subjects entered the store and asked how much they could get for gold they were looking to sell. The victim provided a value and when he presented the monetary funds, the suspects produced handguns and took the money. The victim told officers that one suspect ran east and the other ran west. K9 responded to assist with locating the suspects. Officers did an extensive area search but did not locate the suspects.
#2023-368262/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 21:46hrs, police responded to a reported shooting near the area of 5th Avenue South and South Jackson Street. An officer in the area observed the shooting and broadcasted the direction of travel of the suspect. Police located the victim who sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and another victim who had been physically assaulted. Both victims were provided medical aid by SPD until Seattle Fire arrived on scene. SFD later transported both victims to HMC for further treatment. Other officers were able to locate and arrest the suspect near 8 Ave S and S Dearborn St. A vehicle with the firearm suspected to have been used in the incident was located and will be processed for evidence. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
#2023-368324/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 23:30hrs, SFD responded to a vehicle fire in a parking garage at a shopping center in the 500 block of Mercer Street. Firefighters found a subject in the vehicle who was deceased. The exact details are unknown, but it appears the fire was accidental.
