#2024-018726/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0501 hours, Officers responded to the 4500 block of South Henderson for a report of a female being shot at. The caller stated that she parked her vehicle on the street and was crossing the street heading towards her apartment when she believed her, and her Fiancé were shot at. The caller was unable to articulate why she believed they were targeted other than she observed the muzzle flash from the gun. Officers were able to locate a single casing in the street which was collected as evidence. The caller was not hit, and no property damage was located. The suspect vehicle was believed to be a gray Nissan.
#2024-018195/South Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1204 hours, Officers responded to a suicidal subject at a DESC housing facility. The subject’s case worker was the reporting party and advised that the subject was threatening self-harm with a kitchen knife. When the first responding officer arrived, he observed a physical disturbance in the lobby of the building. The officer witnessed the subject assault the case worker and a Fast-Back request was broadcasted over South Radio. Officers quickly deescalated the situation without the use of physical force. Investigation of the disturbance and assault yielded probable cause to arrest the subject for a Hate Crime. The subject was booked into the King County Jail.
