Male in Critical Condition After Shooting in Cherry Hill

On February 2nd, 2024, SPD Homicide detectives were notified that despite all lifesaving efforts by medical professionals at Harborview Medical Center, the 28-year-old male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.


A 28-year-old male is in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center after being shot in Cherry Hill Sunday night.

At approximately 9:15 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of 18th Avenue and East Jefferson Street. Officers arrived and located a male with a gunshot wound. Officers performed life-saving measures until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived. The victim was transported to HMC in critical condition.

Police learned the victim was driving westbound on East Jefferson past 21st Avenue when shots rang out. Passengers told police they thought the vehicle struck something in the road until they realized the driver had been shot.

Homicide detectives and officers assigned to the Crime Scene Investigation unit responded to the scene. The Homicide unit will be leading the investigation.
