#2024-033619/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

At 0545 hours, officers responded with Seattle Fire Department to a vehicle fire and the possibility that a subject was inside the vehicle. The fire was extinguished, and a subject was found inside the vehicle, deceased. Police spoke with the owner of a nearby residence who stated that the vehicle had been abandoned for almost a year and transients frequented it. SFD Fire Marshall 5 responded. The incident was screened with both detectives. King County Medical Examiner’s Office responded and took custody of the subject. The vehicle was impounded.

#2024-033609/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

At 0509 hours, officers responded to the 8000 block of 12 Av Southwest for reports of a shots heard. One caller reported hearing a vehicle speeding away but did not see it. Police in the area located three shell casings in the street. There was no damage reported in the area.

#2024-034153/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1633 hours, officers responded to the report of a male shot on Interstate 5. The driver of the victim vehicle was travelling south bound on Interstate 5 when an unknown suspect driving a black SUV fired two rounds at his vehicle. The driver exited the Interstate and met officers at the off ramp. Officers provided aid to the male passenger who had non-life-threatening injuries until Seattle Fire Arrived. The driver was not injured and was unable to provide a description of the shooter. Washington State Patrol responded and took control of the scene.  

#2024-034217/East Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1804 hours, officers responded to a call to service for a shooting that occurred at East Jefferson Street and Broadway. Multiple witnesses called 911 stating that two suspects on foot were seen shooting at a darker 4 door sedan that was last seen speeding away. No victim called 911. Officers arrived in the area and located a shooting scene and collected evidence.  No local hospitals have alerted dispatch of a GSW victim at the time the report was written. 

#2024-034364/North Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2115 hours, an officer was conducting hospital guard on a suspect. The suspect was compliant and allowed to use the bathroom. The suspect refused to come out of the bathroom and then resisted when the officer and security attempted to remove him. The officer and security sustained abrasions from the incident. The officer also sustained a possible bodily fluid exposure and was treated at the hospital. Suspected was booked for assault.
