Man Shot During Road Rage in Rainier View Neighborhood   

Police are investigating after a male was shot during a road rage incident in Rainier View Neighborhood.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a male shot in the 5200 block of South Avon Street. Police arrived and found a 34-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Seattle Fire Department provided aid at the scene and the victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in stable but serious condition.

The victim was driving behind a black BMW occupied by two suspects. The driver of the BMW slammed on the brakes several times before the victim drove around. The man parked his car, the suspects followed and fired a single shot that pierced the man’s vehicle and struck him in the shoulder.

The suspects fled the scene and have not been apprehended.

Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives are leading the investigation.
