#2024-049021/South Precinct/First Watch:
At 0512 hours officers responded to Starbucks in response to a suspicious call. Police arrived and discovered that the building had was spray painted in big red letters on the windows and walls. Officers also responded to a separate call (24-049024) at another Starbucks location which was tagged with the same sort of graffiti on the outside of the building. Both locations were photographed, and incident reports completed.
#2024-049327/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1150 hours a call came in to 911 from a 3rd party who had just witnessed an armed robbery of a female where one shot was fired. Officers arrived on scene and were unable to locate the reported victim. A single shell casing was found on Aurora Avenue North just north of North 90th Street. No property damage was found.
#2024-049450/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1429 hours officers were dispatched to a cafe located on the 1900 block of 7th Avenue for a trespass call. When officers arrived on scene and contacted the suspect (who refused to leave by staff). The suspect postured up and aggressively advanced towards an officer. When the officer placed his hand out to prevent the suspect’s advancement, the suspect assertively grabbed the officer. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident. No officers were injured, and the suspect was booked into KCJ for felonious assault.
#2024-049511/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1527 hours officer received a report that a man passed a note to a teller demanding money at a bank. After receiving the money, he apologized, then fled on foot. The suspect appears to be the same as a January bank robbery suspect in the same area. The Robbery Unit was notified.
