On 02/29/24 at about 0439 hours officers responded to an open line. The call taker could hear an elderly female asking for assistance, not answering questions, and breathing heavily. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the complainant who spoke Taishan a dialect of Cantonese. The complainant advised that four unknown persons attempted to enter her home around 0400 hours. The unknown persons were screaming in Cantonese to open the door. The complainant refused and hid inside her home. The complainant attempted to call 911 but due to the language barrier wasn’t successful until 0437 hours. The complainant’s house is equipped with a steel security door which most likely prevented the suspects from making entry. The suspects fled in an unknown direction prior to police arrival.
