#2024-057779/East Precinct/First Watch:
At 0730 hours, The AR Team responded with Seattle Parks and Recreation Department and SDOT for an obstruction clean-up at 1700 block of Nagle Place, adjacent to Cal Anderson Park. Recent incidents of stabbings and assaults in the area prompted the request for immediate intervention. Upon arrival, the AR Team assessed the site and proceeded with the clean-up operation. Despite the heightened security concerns due to previous criminal activities, the team managed to clear the area without incident. Their swift and coordinated efforts ensured the removal of obstructions without compromising safety.
#2024-058261/East Precinct/Second Watch:
On 3/1/2024 at 1626 hours officers responded to a call for service in the area of 11 Ave and E Madison St. Multiple callers called 911 reporting the suspect swinging a large knife around on the sidewalk. Officers arrived on scene and observed the suspect still holding the knife and swinging it around in a very densely populated area. Officers identified themselves and ordered the suspect to drop the knife. The suspect began running from officers throwing the knife but still refusing to stop. Not knowing if the suspect had any other weapons and clearly a danger to the public, Officers deployed a 40mm blue nose at the suspect which was effective. The suspect stopped and was taken into custody without further incident. Suspect was booked into KCJ for unlawful use of a weapon.
#2024-058080/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1304 hours, four adults were in an apartment and highly intoxicated at 1300 hours. Two individuals got into a heated argument and the female suspect pushed her boyfriend down to the ground. When the male fell, he landed on a 7-week-old baby causing numerous serious injuries. The infant was rushed to HMC via medic unit. The male victim fled the scene prior to officers arriving on scene. The highly intoxicated suspect was placed into custody for DV assault. While being arrested she assaulted the arresting officer. She was booked into KCJ for the DV Assault and the assault on an officer. The infant was in critical condition at the time of this report.
#2024-058559/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2335 hours, Officers were dispatched to a shooting in Rainier Beach. The victim reported that their vehicle was shot at by an unknown person. No one was injured, but there was one bullet hole in the vehicle. 3 spent casings were located in the street. GVRU was notified.
#2024-058421/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2000 hours, On 3/1/24 Officers responded to Valley Medical Center for a victim reporting he was shot in downtown Seattle. The victim reported he was shot from a building around Pike / Boren. The injury grazing to the torso and minor in nature. Records show that there was no shooting 911 calls generated in that location in the timeframe.
