Seattle Police Gun Violence Reduction Unit are investigating a shooting that occurred in the Northgate neighborhood that left a man seriously injured.
Thursday shortly after 11:45 p.m., 911 received reports of gunshots around North 101 Street and Aurora Avenue North. Police arrived and located multiple shell casings but no victims.
A short time later a 28-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds arrived at University of Washington Medical Center where he was driven by an unidentified female. Hospital staff provided aid and he is currently in serious but stable condition.
A police investigation revealed that the man was shot at the scene on Aurora Avenue North where shell casings were found.
Seattle Gun Violence Unit Detectives responded to the scene and are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting. No suspects have been identified.
