Seattle police arrested two suspects and recovered a gun after an attempted armed robbery at Pike Place Market on March 13.
Officers were called to the 1900 block of Pike Place at about 5:30 p.m. after a group of young people in a business were approached by another group.
A 17-year-old boy told police he was walking with a friend on the sidewalk in the market when two suspects approached him and tried to rob him. The victim refused to give them anything.
It was reported one of the suspects, a 17-year-old boy, then pulled out a pistol and a second suspect, a 20-year-old man, surrounded the victim. The teen victim was walked to another area of the market with a gun pointed to his back.
The victim and his friend were able to run into a nearby business and call police. The suspects were located a short time later near Third Avenue and Union Street. Both were arrested for robbery.
The 17-year-old suspect was transported to the Judge Patricia H. Clark Children and Family Justice Center. Seattle police recovered the gun from his backpack.
The 20-year-old suspect was transported to the King County Jail.
