Seattle police have arrested two teen suspects after a shooting and a burglary in the SODO neighborhood.
On February 20th, shortly before 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a victim suffering from a gunshot wound in a Greyhound Bus Depot parking lot located in the 500 block of South Royal Brougham Way.
Police arrived and located a 23-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Officers provided aid until the Seattle Fire Department arrived. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in stable, but serious condition.
After the incident, the suspects ran from the scene.
King County Sheriff’s Office K9 and Air Support units arrived and assisted with tracking the suspects. A 17-year-old male and 15-year-old female were tracked to a secure City of Seattle facility in the 700 block of South Charles Street where a burglary was taking place.
The suspects were located, taken into custody and a firearm was recovered from the scene.
Gun Violence Reduction Unit Detectives will be leading the investigation and are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
The Seattle Police Department would like to thank our KCSO partners for their assistance with tracking the suspects.
Both juveniles were arrested, the male for assault and the female for burglary. The suspects were transported to the Judge Patricia H. Clark Children and Family Justice Center.
